Big Heads Up For SVE Chin Spoiler From LMR
Just a big heads up for anyone that buys the SVE chin spoiler from LMR. The fasteners that come with it are NOT the correct size for the pre-drilled holes on the Mach 1. Had it on for one day and it flew off going down the highway at about 90mph. Ran it over and saw in skidding across the pavement in my rearview. Needless to say I was pissed.
Called up the guys at LMR immediately afterwards and long story short they are sending me a new one free of charge. They told me to go buy my own fasteners and send them the bill which was a very nice offer for parts that will only cost me around $10. The new one should be here early this week so it was a quick turnaround. Dispite the mishap, I was very pleased with the level of customer service they have provided. The chin spoiler itself was, as far as I could tell, nearly identical to the OEM one from ford at less than half the cost. Before I ran it over I was very pleased with the fit and finish and would recommend it to anyone as a factory replacement. Just remember to use your own 1/4" fasteners!!!!

That sucks big time, but I'm glad to see that a company as big as LMR has become still has this quality of customer service. good luck with the fix

Re: Big Heads Up For SVE Chin Spoiler From LMR
I am assuming LMR = Late model resto...and if so...yes my experience with them is they are a top notch outfit.
good to know about the spoiler because the one on my car (#4) is already scuffed again from someone leaving roofing tiles on the beltway. paid 165 for this one... oh well...guess I need to buy 2 next time...I just cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to our chin spoiler.

I like this one as it is supposed to be OEM. Yup, it's more $, but it isn't delivered folded in a box. Follow the link and scroll down a bit...

Or at least add a disclaimer that informs customers with 03-04 mach 1's they will need different fasteners than the one's provided.

Kind of surprising they are just now finding this out.....maybe their supplier had a screw up with that batch? Either way, its refreshing to see good customer service in this industry.
