Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story
Don't have the time to read it tonight since I work tomorrow morning early, but I have always said 5.0L V8>>>>>Ecoboost. My boss says the same thing. More reliable engine with way less issues, sounds nicer, and you get similar mileage!

Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story
That. Is. Ridiculous.
So if I ever decide to get an F-150, get the 5.0, got it.

Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story
Oh so one guy blows and engine. I thought it was a considerable amount.
Eh, no big deal. There are going to be lemons in every production vehicle. You can't produce thousands an expect them all to be perfect. EcoBoost FTW!

Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story
love my 5.4, its a tank!! if I had to get a new one it would be the 5.0. That being said I know several work trucks that are eco boost have no issues. I would say this is a lemon as well. Glad I never had a lemon lol.

Re: Unbelievable Ecoboost story
The story isn't so much about 3 blown shortblocks but rather the run around from the dealer, the length of time he was without his vehicle and the lack of proper diagnostics that led to the last two engine replacements. Basically.

That said, I do love the Eco Trucks though and the power the punch out along with feel of acceleration is just awesome!
