swapping in a 5.0 coyote, selling off my parts

I had my almost to the 9s (acutally could have been there if I hadn't had it slightly de-tuned to prevent the need for a cage and license). Then my fuse blew to my electric water pump and I missed it until it got really hot. Now I'm in need of an engine rebuild.

So....I'm going to go with a NMRA coyote stock engine. That class has looked interesting for a while and my car is almost set up almost exactly for it. I'm ordering the motor tomorrow.

I'm going to be parting out the procharger D1SC , intercooler, heads with comp cams, electric water pump, SLP long tubes and just about everything related to the old motor except for the short block which needs work. I will probably sell the stroker crank and ATI balancer as well. and maybe the rods (these are acutally chevy h-beam rods since it was a long rod stroker) A bunch of extra parts such as an underdrive ATI balancer and extra elec water pump without the pulley (new in box) will be going also. I'll try to compile a list soon and put it on the for sale board.

The new setup should be at least in the high tens. I'll need mid 10s to be competitive.

I expect to need a gear change so my 3.73s will probably also be on their way out too.

How much for the cams? Or heads/cam combo?

Very similar to my setup that I have for sale. I'm doing a swap also!

Not sure yet. I've got to get an inventory and see if the shop checked to see if the heads need to be trued up or not. I'll post up soon.

Yep. Any 4.6 trans will mate to it.

the problem with doing this swap on a street car is getting the dash to work. To do that you need to run two computers, one for the engine and the other to send the signals to the dash.

There is also no option to run an automatic trans with this motor from Ford

How many bones did you give for the Coyote Motor, if you don't mind sharing such information?

Street price for the motor is in the $6300-6500 range. Then you need the ECU (required for the class) which is $1500-1600

Plus headers, balancer, etc.

If you use a 4.6L automatic computer you could run any trans that mates to 4.6 and is supported by that computer. If you use the Ford Racing ECU that's referenced on the web page, you would need a manual trans like a C4 with a proper bellhousing for a mod motor.

Jaime, I'd be interested in the ProCharger setup. Just picked up an 04 in need of boost...
