buyer beware: ryanscobra

i bought a block from him that he said was from a mach 1. when i got it back from the machine shop is when i realized it was a fwd continental block, useless for us mustang guys. he offered to pay me back for the block minus the money i got for scrapping it.

conveniently after the 60 days of paypal buyer protection were up he halted all communication and would not respond to me.
not to mention when the block got to me the box was all ripped up and the bare block was exposed, nicks and dings were present on the block.

that was the second block i bought. the first block was a mach 1 block that was so bad it had to be sleeved. that guy was actually nice enough to refund my money and pay for gas to and from.

good to know there's still good guys out there, but leeches find their way into the mustang community unfortunately.

Wow, thats shitty man.. I been there, Just recently infact with a punk from svtp that burned me for a set of heads.. But It sounds like he doesnt plan on paying you back whichs shows the type of person he is. So, you almost have to chalk it up as a lesson learned in this game..

I would have at least kept the block and turned it into a table or something...

That's my suggestion. I have a 351C that needs to be cleaned and checked for worthiness. If it comes back with a crack or needing an exorbitant amount of machining, I'm turning it into a table.

I have a good block for sale if you're still in the market. It's factory over-sized. I have good trader rating on svtp: http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...d.php?t=133851
