Turbo oil drain bung

I bought the Vibrant oil drain kit in the link below so that I can run a braided line instead of the rubber hose that comes with the On3 kit. The Vibrant kit comes with both a stainless and aluminum weld on bung. Which one should I use with the stock oil pan or does it matter?

Thanks ahead of time.

Who doesn't love questions about the bung

Re: Turbo oil drain bung

Id say the steel one since the pan is steel. rather than welding aluminum to steel

Agreed, I had one welded on as well. BTW, I put mine on the passenger side of the oil pan, I did not like the clearance on the front of the pan.

Re: Turbo oil drain bung

You can see the bung in this picture, good location and clears the AC.

Re: Turbo oil drain bung

You want the return bung to be a straight shot down from the turbo with as little bending and turning as possible unless your running a pump. Where you've positioned it could lead to oil not returning to the pan fast enough. Just my experience. Front of the pan is best.
