Cobra cams

I know this topic has been beat to death, but I'm getting ready to drop some 98 Cobra (Intake) cams in my 2003 Mach. I've read all the posts I could find but I still have one question -

I want to degree the cams, which basically means I only need to find ICL and ECL. I wonder if I really need to buy an adjustable solid valve Lifter to do this? I'm thinking no because I don't care about knowing the lift. The hyd lifters are already pumped up, so they shd hold long enough to set the CL, right?

What say you - anyone who has done this?

Re: Cobra cams

if you're on FB Im pretty sure the NA SVT group has a write up on installing/degreeing cams in the files section, might answer your question
