Re: biggest size

it'll really boil down to the brand of tires. that tire is gonna be smaller in diameter than the 245/45/17 tire. you'd need to go to a 275/40/17 to stay at the factory diameter.

when it comes to 275s, not all 275s are created equal. I'd highly advise against (although it is doable) putting BFGs or goodyears in that size on an 8 inch rim, yet nittos (dr's or not) would be a fairly good tire for that size.

good luck finding a 265/40 tire too... that's not a very common size.

I have the 265/40/17s on my stock rim and they fit fine. They are toyo T1-S tires

Wicked, how are those tires for hooking up? Do you run them at the track?

Re: biggest size

I wouldn't worry about it jassyd8, pretty much any brand of tire in the size 265/40 will fit fine on your bullitts. Personally, I would go with some BFGoodrichs which I know will fit fine.

wrong.... a 275/35/17 will be too low profile for a 17x9 inch rim.. he needs a 275/40/17

All I know is a 275-40-17 Pirelli PZero fits on the stock 17x8 rims...the side wall bulges a slight bit but it works just fine, don't know how they compare to DR's. Probably the same.
