NHRA Joiliet anybody?
Anybody heading to Joliet this weekend for the race? We will be heading up saturday afternoon and be at the race sunday. If you've never been and you are close, this would be a great weekend to check it out!

Too broke to go, but when you get to the strip, turn to the west and wave. I live 15 miles away and I'll be sure to wave back! LOL
I hope you enjoy and the weather looks like it will be absolutely perfect. I plan to be at the NMRA at the end of July as that strip is a blast! :ORANGE:

Re: NHRA Joiliet anybody?
Yeah this will be my first time at Joliet, it looks like a great track. I remember last year Alan Johnson calling it a "dyno" because it hooks so well. I have been going to the US Nationals for years, but my wife is due sept. 2 so I wont likely be going to Indy this year.

Re: NHRA Joiliet anybody?
I just remembered, my town's cruise night is next Saturday night from 4-10 and usually draws between 500-600 cars. They shut down the entire main drag (about 8 blocks) and it's an absolute blast. If you're bringing the Mach you're welcome to park with me at my buddy's Goodyear, so just let me know! Here's a pic of the 40th Anniversary Pony Corral I organized in his lot in 2004 (my Mach's on the left) but on the main street there's a mile of cars! We had four Sunbeam Tigers, a Shelby GT350H Hertz and a GT500KR that day.

I would normally be at the Morris Cruise, but since it's national race weekend at 66 I'll be at the races. We have the same seats every year....section "C" here I come! hehe Blackpony...The cruise IS one of the best in our area, and I'll probably see ya at the next one!

Cool...it's been a long time since I've seen ya. I always park in the Goodyear lot (friends of the owner) so be sure to look me up.
