Last night I took the saleen kit to get prepped up for primer and paint and when I saw the side skirts they looked funny to me, then I noticed that they were after market side skirts and I ordered it from the dealer. It should've been authentic, it came in the saleen box and everything.

that REALLY sucks, how do you know they are AM? I'd complain.

Is it possible that Saleen uses another company to make the side skirts for them? Just kind of odd. Especially since they came in the box and everything. I'd call saleen and ask them first.. Sorry to hear that though..

Because these side skirts don't have the vents in the rear of the skirt. They go up high where the vents should be and it looks real ugly. I called the dealer today but they are closed on Saturdays.

Man that does suck! Everything alse is right though I hope.. I would be pissed off also. Might not be the dealerships fault. But than again could of pulled a fast one on you.. How did the box look? Did it look like it was opened and retaped? Everything always happens on the weekends. I hate that!

Ya everything else was real, the rear bumper did have saleen engraved. I didn't see if the box had been opened I was just real happy that it was here.

Well I hope you get it all figured out. I know what you mean when you're excited. It's a good feeling. But I hope on Monday they straighten it out for you man. Keep us posted....

Today I called the dealer about the side skirts and they told me to take some pics and send them to stage 3 motorsports. I guess thats where they ordered the kit from, I dont know why they couldn't go to saleen directly. Anyways I sent the pics and hopefully everything goes my way and they send me rite ones this time.

Alot of these "name brand" companies out source their stuff for manufacturing. Goodluck.

saleen does the design, they don't have to make it, just design it.

thats what you get for going to a dealer.
you SHOULD have ordered them direct from a authorized saleen vendor or straight from saleen.

Bluebonnet Motors is an authorized saleen dealer, thats why I went to them all they sale is Saleens, Roush, and Cobra mustangs. And every dealer in SA told me to call them.

Just because they sell the car's does not mean they sell the parts. Another well know company make the the sideskirts for saleen. You probly got thier skirts and not saleens.

Man...We wont even do Roush kits anymore because of the crap they send.
OH yeah..when their stuff fails...try to warranty it...see how far you get.

The original side skirts just came in today. this time they are the real saleens. Now it's time to repaint the whole car
