Smile hurst shifter

I spoke to a rep at Hurst on Monday and he said by Christmas Hurst would have a kit made for the new Mach One and other Mustangs that would include a short throw shifter with a crome Hurst stick ,boot , and choice of knob. Got to have the t-handle. Hopefully they will repro the old t-handle with the H-pattern with the numbers inside the letter H. Merry Christmas....!!!!

Bill Pasco , product support specialist, from Hurst e-mailed me today and said the set up needed for the Mach1 is the billet/plus shifter #391-5035 , the chrome Hurst shift stick needed is #538-8550 and the t- handle is #153-4813 brushed finish / #153-0026 polished both with Hurst on the top , you can choose any 3/8" knob from Hurst. Just go to www.martelbros.com to see the other knobs available . Hope this helps any one looking for the Hurst retro look.. dont forget to order your "Hust Equiped " emblems for you side glass just like back in the 60s. Part #136-1000.
any questions e mail Bill Pasco at www.bpasco@mrgasket.com / call (216) 688-8300 ext 259

JUST CHECKED WITH SUMMIT RACEING / 1800-230-3030 THEY HAVE THE HURST SHIFTER FOR 162.95 , THE CHROME STICK FOR 51.39 AND EITHER T-HANDLE FOR 20.75 / GREAT PRICES AND EXCELLENT SERVICE / FREE SHIPPING ALSO IF IN A CERTAIN AREA....
JUST SPOKE TO BILL PASCO WITH HURST AGAIN , HE SAID THE CHROME STICK 538-8550 WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD CONSOLE REACH AND BRINGS THE KNOB BACK 4 INCHES SO YOU DO NOT PUNCH THE RADIO WHEN SHIFTING INTO 3RD. HE SAID IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT POSITION CHROME STICK CALL HIM AND HE CAN RECOMMEND ONE AND GIVE YOU A PART # ,PHONE 216-688-8300 EX #259. BILL SEEMS TO BE A VERY NICE GUY AND WAS VERY ENTHUSED TO HELP....HE ALSO STATED BY NEXT SUMMER HURST WILL OFFER A T-HANDLE SHIFTER WITH THE OLD H-PATTERN AND THE NUMBERS IN THE H. NOW THAT WILL BE RETRO. ALSO THEY WILL POSS. OFFER A KIT FOR THE MUSTANG TO SAVE $$$. HOPE ALL THIS INFORMATION HELPS.....

The 391-5035 was on backorder at the beginning of October. I ordered one figuring it would be in about the same time as my car. Needless to say, Hurst does a better job of filling backorders than Ford. In light of this new info, I intend to buy the chrome stick to go with it. Thanks for the tip!!

Anybody know of a different boot that will expose more of the shift lever like the old Competition Plus shifters?

That's exactly what I'm looking for, Jim. Although the piecemeal approach will work, I'd much rather be able to get the entire package, soup to nuts, so that everything looks like it belongs together. Any idea on how soon this will be available and what kind of price for the package?

I asked first. You sure seem to have quite a bit to say about others here on the board. Just thought maybe you work up in some higher place then the rest of us here.

Must be nice to be perfect.
