Re: Well, i pulled the trigger

I ran into a white one while I was detailing the Mach at the car wash. Nice looking car. The driver claim 298HP on the dyno with just a CAI and axle back exhaust. Didn't sound right, but hey who am I to argue.

Re: Well, i pulled the trigger

On those car you usually need to get a tune with a CAI, especially if you open up the exhaust at all, so 298 at the wheels wouldn't be out fo the question.

Congrats on the purchase, I love th CS in white.

Re: Well, i pulled the trigger

I'm pretty sure he was just pointing out that it was fully loaded. Ford has $1500 cash back at the moment so he wouldn't have paid sticker anyway.

Great car BTW! I almost pulled the trigger on a Candy Apple Red GT/CS Convertible last week but decided the timing wasn't right for me (I'll either go for the 09 model or wait till next summer for a 2010). I most definitely recommend the GT/CS package over the straight GT. For $1900 it's worth it considering the wheels alone are a $925 option and I really like the styling. I'm guessing you got the $2,000 Navigation system as the one I priced out had everything but that and stickered at $37k.

Nice car. I think the 5 speed auto's are quicker than the stick. A few mod's should really wake up the car. I would do gears first! Going from a 3.31 to 410's or 4.30's would scare you. Congrats.

Congrats, you will love it. These cars are great cruisers. I do miss the raw muscle car feeling of the mach though

Re: Well, i pulled the trigger

Lemme tell you guys somet.....the AUTO on this car is a SHEER BLISS to drive!
No more "clink, and clanks" from that piece of **** manual

if i had to do it again, i wouldnt even hesitate....i had 2004 screaming yellow mach....i kept it bone stock....5spd, non-iup...car was garage kept with 12,000 miles on it......

I loved my mach1, dont get me wrong...but the S197's got it beat guys....i know im gonna get flamed being this is the mach 1 registry and all, but a spade is a spade.....

My mach 1 will never be forgotton, but my new GT/CS blows it out of the water!
