Ported Short Runner Results
Ok,
Today we got to spend some quality time at the dyno with a Marauder! Yes! We did some back to back testing of one of our custom Ported Short Runner intake on STOCK long block Marauder (same motor as the Automatic Mach 1s). Here is the combination BEFORE DYNO: Custom Cold Air Intake Ported Intake (belive it was ported by Steen Racing) Welded Glass Packs No Tune The combination AFTER DYNO: Everything the same, replaced ported intake with Nazty Performance Ported Short Runner Intake. RHWP: RWTQ: Unfortunately, we did not have a stock intake to compare with! We estimate that the gains would have been 30+RWHP when compared to the stock intake, effectively extending the RPM range well within the stock parameters! Another thing to notice is that we did not touch the tune. With tuning, we anticipate another easy 10+RWHP gains!!! Just for "hey lets try this" we bolted a Nazty Ported Intake (fully ported/TIG welded, stock runner lenght) and it made another 8RWHP/TQ on top of the already ported intake! Have some more pics and videos to load later this evening! Naz |

I think I'm going to be difficult, and stay N/A.............the easy road is not my style
I was just looking at your H/C/I packages. I've got my 4200 stall going in from Darrin on May 4th. I think you might get my next bonus check. Nice work you do.

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
My attention to your products has been peaked. I have an '03 Mach 1 manual. Checked out your website. Will be in contact by end of summer. Just one question, I believe to have the short spark plug thread cylinder heads. Your prices for the head porting is for a customer's stock heads, or are they purchasing new head cores? Reason I ask is because I am interested in acquiring the '04 heads with the longer spark plug threads. As you can see I'm interested in an HCI. Thanks for any reply.

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
So approx 30 rwhp, with a fully welded and ported intake....Hmm seems the worth while investment.. Over 500 bucks for headers with 15 to 20 hp gain. Or 30 hp gain for the same 500 bucks using your modded intake, seems like a simple choice. But Headers and intake would be even better

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
Naz, that is 32 peak on the last one with gains across the rpm range or is that mostly peak horse power. does your intake lower or increase torque. sorry if your images show this info I am at work and cannot see the pics.

Notice his old peak power.....299 @ 6100RPM Notice how he is making 301 @ 5500RPM with the Nazty Intake. Notice how the he makes 307 by 5750 peaks @ 311 by 6500 and "drops" to 306 by 6900 RPM! Averages 309.48RWHP thru the meat of the power band! Pretty much unheard off for a little 4.6 to average over 300 for such of long strech of power band with such of "mild" peak of 311RWHP! The trent we are seeing with the Nazty Ported Short Runner is that not only increasses peak power, but its effectivly extending the power band, with power sooner and all the way to the capability of the cam profile. Yes, I want the data............!!!!!! very much want!! But even you must admit....bringing the power sooner, and carring the power band like that on a little bolt-on 99, with a mild peak of 311RW is unheard. You as well as I know that! Naz |

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
Yeah, I dream of making power under 4,000 RPM on my 4V. I go to the track and race from idle, and shift at 4,000 RPM.

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
Got back from the track tonight, ran a best 12.66@108.24mph.
Only other mod was the PSR from NAZ. Heres the break down from last year, to this year with no other mods. All runs done on 275/11.5R17 ET Streets. Aug/17/08 ---May/23/09 60' 1.796 --- 1.705 330' 5.317 --- 5.205 660' 8.24 ---8.092 MPH 83.72 ---85.74 990' 10.686 ---10.514 1320 12.87 ---12.66 MPH 106.64 ---108.24 I have a video, but i have no idea how to put it up. And today, i did granny shift, because i hate wasting runs and missing shifts. Tuesday Night i'm heading back to the dyno to have a before and after graph for the PSR upgrade.

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
Nice.
Make sure to hit the track in August for better comparison. May tends to be a little cooler then August in most parts.

Re: Ported Short Runner Results
New numbers in.
Same dyno both runs. Old Numbers ---------New Numbers May/8/09 ------- -----May/26/09 SAE RWHP 287.8 ----- SAE RWHP 298.9 SAE Tq 307.7 -------- SAE Tq 308.2 Thats over a already ported intake! I have the Graph, but his computer was old school with no flashdrive port. I'll scan it ASAP. As much as 15rwhp at 5500rpm's. Old peak of 287.8 was at 5300rpm's, new number of 298.9 was at 5500rpm's. No loss of HP! Maybe a loss of 10rwtq between 2500-3000rpm. A gain as much of 30rwhp@6700.

Great gains all across the power band! Now you know shift her higher and take advantage of the power coming on sooner and extra power on the top end! Post the graphs! -Naz
