Intake Spacer and FI
Anyone done any tests with intake spacers on a blown car? I have seen what the gains are on an NA car, was was curious if the gains would be the same on a superchargers car or even possibly more.
I was kind of thinking that there might not be any gains since the air is compressed going into the engine.

Re: Intake Spacer and FI
I'm not sure if it can be as useful. With an all motor car, every little bit helps. The spacer lifts the lid off the top of the feeder ports, allowing easier entry for the incoming air charge. With FI, you're cramming air down the intake ports. If it does help anything it will probably help with torque by increasing manifold volume. Try and find a used one? That way you can try it, find out numbers, and if there is no change, you can sell it and get your money back.
I have a ported manfold and phenolic 3/4" spacer I made. I'm waiting for temps to cool back down so I can dyno them. I have a Vortech that I plan on installing if I don't sell it. So I'll get some back to back numbers. |

Re: Intake Spacer and FI
Pressure and flow are two different things and both important.
