Mach's losing mileage / odometer going backwards?
I thought I was nuts at first, then I saw a before and after picture of a part install [looking at dinosaur threads about gauge ring installs] and there was an after shot with LESS mileage than a before shot.
Now, my personal experience with this was when I store my car in the winter, or, well, whenever I am not driving it. I parked it with like, 14,256.6 miles once. About 6 months later I came home and pulled it out and it had 14,252.7 miles on her. Now, I know it's not losing thousands and thousands of miles -- but still a little weird. Battery has been trickle charged, and nothing has moved. Anyone else have this?

Re: Mach's losing mileage / odometer going backwards?
Up here if your car gets OBDII scanned for an inspection, Auction (or what not) that goes onto the cars record.. if it has less miles next time they scan it the car's value & "appreciativeness" drops like a rock because the car is now concidered TMU.. True Mileage Unknown.. and now CarFax & Autocheck & The State's Title Dept. are going to have it as a "Mileage Unknown" "TMU" etc.. Just something for folks to think about in case..

Re: Mach's losing mileage / odometer going backwards?
Well this isn't anything intentional that's being done. The car does it itself, a few miles here and there. Only noticed it twice, but since there are only like, two replies in here as per the actual topic, I don't know if it's a normal thing or not.

Re: Mach's losing mileage / odometer going backwards?
Maybe aliens are using your car at night and traveling faster than the speed of light. Time will go backwards if traveling that fast.
