procharger question
i bought a p1sc procharger for my mach 1. I am planning on running 8 pounds of boost. I want to make 420-440 rwhp with out jeopardizing the motor. I keep my mach in the garage most of the time but when i take it out for car shows or decide to take it to the track I run it all out. Now I am running an all stock motor. any suggestions

Re: procharger question
Just get a good tune, boost is addicting so you will want more later on so start saving for a built engine, since its best to be prepared if you blow your engine but staying in that hp range is a good choice for stock. Some may last some may not depending on the tune..
Best of all enjoy it

Re: procharger question
Stick or auto? If you don't have a built rear you need one. 31 splines and a new diff. If you have a stick your gonna need to upgrade that clutch. Fuel system? Minumum of dual Cobra pumps and #39 lb injectors. Need DR's if you are gonna run at the track and get any of that supercharged power to the ground. Good tune = longevity. You will need whatever programmer your tuner uses. Good luck

Re: procharger question
You dont need to upgrade to the 31 spline rear but it is wise.

Re: procharger question
P1SC, long tubes, X, and mufflers. I keep mine below 6500 just for a little more piece of mind.

Re: procharger question
Said he wants to run it all out at the track. Drag radials and 400+ RWHP, probably a stick....umm he needs 31 spline axles.

Re: procharger question
got the p1sc, spec stage2, drs, 430 rwhp and stock axles. best run 11.6 so far no problems. new short block coming soon then i worry about axles. stock block take out more fuel and leave more timing and save your $ for the motor

Re: procharger question
And you dont have to have dual cobra pumps, an svt focus pump will do just fine for that power range. i make 425 at the wheels with stock motor, trans, clutch and rearend, but i have a great tuner which is most important...if you are going to beat the hell out of it at the track a lot dont bank on it lasting a long time...

Re: procharger question
thank you all for your input. I bought the procharger kit which comes with the injectors, boost a pump and tune. im trying to do everything to keep the motor alive. like i said i do like to run it but i only run it like once a month so it wont see the track too much. It is a stick car. and Im trying to get 4:10's and 31 spline axles this winter. the car will be used mostly for shows and a weekend driver when it is nice out.

Re: procharger question
sounds good, 410's are a nice addition to the 355's
but just start saving for a new build so you can go with more boost if you ever need to or something fails

Re: procharger question
