If the shaker scoop isn't make a reasonable seal against the hood, try raising it up a bit until it is.

And its more because of the 2 feet of salt on the roads, than about the snow. ;)
It will stay in storage until the spring rains wash the salt completely away.

I haven't seen a 2015 Mustang with the hood up to tell if there still is that shaker cut out outline, like what was on the 2005-2014 Mustang.
