Whats a safe rwhp for machs???

Buying a procharged mach and it put down 475rwhp and i have been told anything over 415 on stock internals is like a ticking time bomb. N since the car is going to be my everyday car i wabt it to b safe to drive and not be worried about blowing it up? Thanks for any input

You will see many post about this.. Basically in a nutshell, keep boost 10psi and its all about a safe tune and not beating the snot outta it over and over,

Re: Whats a safe rwhp for machs???

yea like someone will prob post did you search first, i know i've started a thread bout this and got bash for it, i'm going to be around 450rwhp on my mach, around that and you will be find, that mach depending on how well the tune is on it and also what the boost is setting at. to be honest your prob going to be fine with where it is at now. if it has a p1sc you could always put a bigger size pulley on it to bring the hp down and boost, on d1sc you re kinda limited to how much you can bring it down. another thing you can do is go to power adder area and look threw the procharger sticky and see what numbers most of them guys are at, to be honest that is a normal number i have seen and also seen higher than that. so i say your good to go, but might consider lowering the hp on it,

Re: Whats a safe rwhp for machs???

also maybe if you can save up for a new engine, i'm going to be start saving for a aluminator longblock soon, that way i can up my boost and run alot hp, but for say if you wanted to stay in that hp range, you ill know you will have a engine that can handle that hp and not worry bout it blowing, something to think bout for the future. just a thought, don't have to

See what boost he is running. If you stay out of boost the engine will last forever, but it will be fine at that power level too as long as you dont bounce it off the redline all the time, etc.

Haha couldnt do that... It has 10lb pulley on it and modular depot installed and tuned the car and said the first pull it put down more then they would feel comfortable on stock motor, so they detuned it and put a limiter on the tune at 6k... Like i stated above im going to be daily driving the car and i want it to be safe, i wont be raping the car every chance i get but when i feel the urge to lay into it every now and then i dont wanna have to worry. Sorry if this is a repost but i did a search before i posted and couldnt find the answers i wanted. Thanks

Re: Whats a safe rwhp for machs???

the thing bout starting with that mach, you already got a step ahead on perfomance and can be happy where it is at, or build off of it. so you really got lucky on this one for sure, that is one of the best sounding mach's i've heard also. would have loved to done mine like that, but already had my money into mine, so your good there, just take care of it, i'm sure you will and i can just think if it was me, i would have a are time waiting for it, post some pictures when you get a chance, might see if he can burn you a copy of all the pictures and video he has of the car, they are really good video's and pictures of the car.

If I remember correctly, Louise popped her bottom end at significantly less than one billion horsepower.

Ok, here comes the part where you make me feel like an idiot, but I thought you hurt the engine in your car and that was why you were rebuilding it. At least that's the way it seemed when everyone was ragging on you.

Well I was partially correct, it's been so long I obviously forgot the details myself. Just out of curiosity, why didn't you drop a new intake on it and drive it until the new motor was done?
