Re: I fixed my curbed wheel
$25 a wheel is a very fair price... I'd have opted for that myself, but here in St. Louis the outfits wanted way over $100 just to touch it, so it was worth attempting a fix. I figured if I screwed...

Re: I fixed my curbed wheel
Thanks guys, I hope you all give it a try. You will be amazed at how workable the metal is, just take your time. It's important to mask off any clear-coated areas that you don't want to slip and...

I fixed my curbed wheel
Hello, Just wanted to share something that may help you other guys out. I did a stupid-o and nerfed a curb last week. See pics. The damage was isolated to the outermost wheel lip, but it was deep and...

Re: Does anybody have door rub?
My memory of this was the seat rubbing against the door panel. It's easily fixed with a few shims (washers) under the outboard seat track to get the seat up straight away from rubbing. The seat bolts...

Re: Need a Stock Temp Gauge!
When I turn on the ignition it jumps to the halfway position. When I did the on board diagnostic test, all the other gauges do their healthy dial sweep, except temperature. I think it's the culprit....

Re: Need a Stock Temp Gauge!
OK, what I still need to know is can I remove just the temp gauge from the cluster, or is that un-doable? How much do you want for the whole unit?

Re: Need a Stock Temp Gauge!
Hi, I wouldn't need the lens. Is the instrument cluster made so I can just remove the temp gauge, or is it all a single sealed up unit... I've never had mine out so I honestly don't know. I really...

HELP! Repairing the instrument panel
Can I replace just the stock dash temperature gauge, or is the whole instrument panel pretty much one inseparable unit now? I know the stock gauges are not great, but I want to keep my 04 original....

Need a Stock Temp Gauge!
Anybody have a stock Mach 1 temperature gauge to sell? Mine went AWOL and won't sweep, just stuck in the middle. If you refit with aftermarket gauges and want to sell your gauge(s) please let me know...

Re: What do you say when someone talks smack?
Take it to the track or someplace off public streets. It's always tempting to GO, but there's too much at risk. Something can always go wrong, and believe me it will. Years ago a car we were street...

Re: Shaker restore
Yes, one can will be plenty. Painter's tip: Do all the hard to reach areas first (inside the openings, etc), then sweep the easy to cover areas. You don't want to spray into the tight reach spots...

Re: Ever wanted to be Mad Max?
The Mad Max car was an XB Ford Falcon that was produced in Australia between the years of 1973 and 1976. It came after the XA Falcon which was made in '72 and '73, and it proceeded the XC Falcon...

Re: Shaker restore
Use Krylon Semi Flat paint. It's the perfect look, not shiny, not dull, perfect sort of satin. Looks like the spoiler on the back when you're done. The paint has a great spray valve too, so it lays...

Re: help with tires
I pulled my original Goodyears and replaced with Potenza RE750's. WOW, what a difference. Fantastic road manners and adhesion, no tread noise, and best of all, they were on closeout. Ptenza is...

Re: For all you beer drinking Shelby owners:
It's amazing what people pay for collectibles. Found some e-bay gold myself in the past. However, I think I'll go make some more of these vintage collectibles myself while the market is hot! Wow!

Re: Bridgestone Potenza RE750 Tires
That's true; but the original Goodyear's were sub par. I really wanted good adhesion and relative quiet ride on this set; can't stand tire roar. However, some tires do get louder as the wear...

Re: Bridgestone Potenza RE750 Tires
I read about those too. That's an even better tire than the RE750, but I feel like it's been a huge jump up in traction/adhesion. For $85 a tire, I couldn't pass these up. I had the shop balance the...

Bridgestone Potenza RE750 Tires
Just bought these tires on closeout and WOW what a difference in handling and traction. Goodbye old Goodyears. The shop sold them for $85 each since they were the very last they had. At that price I...
